As industry profits have been reduced, investors have challenged Telecommunications providers to improve
efficiencies and increase revenue during the most difficult economic climate in the past 20 years. Honovi
has addressed these demands with it's inSwitch Platform, a complete turnkey suite of
solutions that automates the identification and correction of translation errors and maintains the validated
baseline of switch translations with updates provided by the LERG© or other internal operational systems.
Currently, many service providers perform switch maintenance manually, or have developed isolated areas of
automation that are not comprehensive in addressing the organizational wide issue of streamlining the
provisioning process and updating network elements. Network Operations need a complete solution that
reduces the cost to perform code maintenance, allows cross-functional teams to easily implement standardized
business processes, eliminates revenue leakage and improves the quality of network routing and rating.
Honovi's inSwitch solutions help network engineering executives automate the manual processes required to
validate and maintain updates of voice grade switches. inSwitch's unique interface and solution architecture
ensures short implementation and training, plus the lowest cost of ongoing operations in the industry.
The result is verifiable increase in productivity and elimination of lost revenue, measured by redeployment
of headcount and correctly billing customers for all network usage. Honovi delivers a typical complete
solution within three months, with experienced business and technical teams proven solutions implementing
industry. inSwitch™ Product Page

Client Training Support
Supporting customers after they have engaged with Honovi, both before and after implementation is an important part of the Complete Product. Elements of overall support include training, documentation and customer support.
Training
Honovi must initially provide two types of training: training the technical staff to administer and support the application and end-user education. A combination of hands-on training, training materials, computer-based training and web-based solutions will be incorporated in order to round-out the Complete Product implementation.
Documentation
Creating thorough documentation will reduce the amount of customer support calls. Honovi will provide technical and end-user documentation. Delivery mechanisms will include both printed as well as online documentation. Knowledge bases delivered via the web will keep all of the documentation up-to-date and easily accessible.
Ongoing Client Support
Client support after the sale is a very important piece of the Complete Product
that includes both technical and end-user support. Both of these types of support have different requirements. End-user support needs to have experts in the functionality of the application while technical support requires technical knowledge in the application interfaces, database and tools that were used to create the solution.
Application Add-On
Honovi can extend and enhance your existing package and custom software solutions, enabling you to realize greater returns on your technology investments.
Application Expertise
Honovi's knowledge and experience in Telecommunications results from its focus. Honovi understands our client's marketing programs, network services and contact centers. Our experience has been gained by numerous implementations of industry specific solutions. Honovi provides counsel to our customers related to best practices, judging the business drivers, and implementing a solution on a timely basis. This counsel is provided through our sales process, consulting, envisioning, and through the implementation methodology framework. This includes supporting the definition of business requirements and solution specifications.
Client Programs
Client programs are designed for interaction and continual feedback of our client's ongoing needs. The programs keep the user base well informed of current and future market information as well as activities based around the solutions. Honovis programs include:
- Formal user group activities, including structured training, the introduction of new concepts, socializing and reinforcing the buy decision
- Participation by Honovi executives and employees as panelists and speakers in conferences sponsored by others
Innovation with Technology
Technology by itself does not solve business problems. Honovi maximizes its value by applying business expertise to proven technologies resulting in innovative solutions that solve critical strategic needs.
Today's innovations will be tomorrow's standards. Honovi's technology team continually looks for ways to implement the most applicable technology into its solutions. Examples of today's innovative technologies include PDA, XML, wireless, Internet and visualization. By using enabling technologies such as visualization, Honovi maximizes the value of the data presented to the user and enhances the ease of interpretation and decision making.
Innovation does not just incorporate implementing the newest technology. Honovi provides leadership that defines application standards for the Telecommunications industry.

Flow Through Provisioning
inSwitch automates the provisioning of Code Maintenance, Trunk Maintenance and Special Projects.
Code Maintenance
inSwitch uses transactions from TelCordia's LERG© or any internal system that provides a standardized data feed to automate the flow-through of new, modified and disconnected NPA/NXX's. Utilizing a proprietary algorithm to determine routing and rating information, inSwitch builds the translation required to make the appropriate changes in the switch. inSwitch seamlessly integrates with OSS systems or can interact directly with the switch.
Trunk & Routing Automated Maintenance (TRAM)
inSwitch automates the provisioning of new trunk groups and the augments of existing facilities. Integrating with industry standard OSS solutions such as Telcordia's TIRKS, inSwitch can validate that the correct trunks are present within the switches and identify discrepancies during a baseline validation. Ongoing provisioning functions will initiate Trunking translations that are applied to the switch.
Special Projects
Many provisioning functions are not initiated by the LERG© or another automated system. inSwitch provides Network Operations the ability to create projects that require switch specific maintenance. An example is to turn on a vertical service such as Privacy Manager in every switch within a LATA. Individual activities will be assigned to the responsible technician, along with the documented process, or links to a centralized URL that can be used as a job aid. These projects are tracked within the workflow manager and status reporting is continuously updated as individual tasks are completed.
Productivity Measurements
Senior Network Management is evaluated by key performance indicators (KPI) as documented within an organizations goals and objectives. inSwitch provides these executives a comprehensive view of their organizations performance. Trouble resolution, average time to completion and jeopardy reports provide current analysis of the productivity for tasks assigned by the workflow manager. Without the need to manually collect data from technicians, the results are displayed graphically and contain built in alerts to ensure translation work is complete and done on time. Accountability and productivity are measured for each technician and manager within an organization.
Switch Interrogation
For Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Operations personnel responsible for revenue generation and troubleshooting activities, inSwitch provides quick and accurate access to translation data from the Network Elements. By converting complex translation tables into usable information, multiple organizations can access customer data, specific product/line features and increase the effectiveness of daily decision making. inSwitch accesses translations directly from DMS, 5ESS and EWSD switches or from an up to date OSS. This eliminates the time consuming and manual processes performed by technicians, shortens the time to provision new services, and increases customer satisfaction.
Revenue Assurance
inSwitch's TheValidator™ module provides Network Operations and Revenue Assurance the unique ability to perform offline testing and validation of switch translations and automates the required corrective action. By extracting switch translations from Operational Support Systems or physical switches and combining it with external data (Tariff Local Calling Areas, Call Routing Plans, Class of Service Screening definitions, etc.), TheValidator identifies and updates missing, incorrect and redundant translations. The result is a verifiable increase in revenue, translation accuracy and network efficiency.
Network Validation
Establishing a valid baseline of existing Network Translations historically has been an ongoing series of manual individual switch cleanups. Without productivity tools that automate the analysis of line class codes, trunk groups, call screening and call rating, these projects are expensive to produce and often inaccurate. inSwitch's TheValidator performs these functions offline and populates the workflow manager with exceptions to be reviewed. Upon brief review of the error, the corrective action is initiated and they translations within the switch are updated. This unique closed loop process is only available from Honovi.
Workflow Management
Managing the flow of work activities both automated and manual is the responsibility of inSwitch's Workflow Management module. Whether the activity is Provisioning, Revenue Assurance, Network Validation or Switch Interrogation the workflow manager utilizes user-defined business rules to appropriately route activities between resources. Manual intervention is allowed if the predefined business rules do not apply to specific situations. Jeopardy and compliance reports allow management to track all work activity associated to work centers, managers and technicians.
